Danish innovation for the healthcare sector

Today, Duelco is involved in the design of patient rooms in 80% of all Danish hospitals and increasingly in hospitals throughout the Nordic region, from Finland to the Faroe Islands. In cooperation with architects, staff and user groups, we are involved in the entire process.

Duelco bedside panels are based on the principles of 'healing architecture', which makes patients feel safe. Many studies confirm that a safe patient experiences less pain, is less stressed and recovers faster.

The front panels appear without technical installations and come in the familiar light Nordic woods such as beech and oak to bring organic and homely materials into the room.

All medico-technical installations are hidden

The bed head units contain all medico-technical installations used for treatment, including power sockets, patient call, medical gas, suction, lighting, rail for medical equipment, remote for blinds, lights etc.

These functionalities are hidden in Duelco's panels, so they are not visible to the patient or caregiver, and still easily accessible to staff.

Optional equipment provides peace of mind for the patient

It has a motion sensor at the bottom of the panel which turns on the night lights and helps patients navigate in the dark, potentially in a room with other sleeping patients. A panel is also mounted at the door to control all installations in the room.

In this way, the entire interior design contributes to patients feeling calm, at home and in general recover faster than in regularly installed bed head units.
