Transponder coded safety switch with lock

Safety switches with locks are key to keeping production staff safe from harm and securing processes. With transponder-coded safety switches with locks, you can achieve the highest level of safety.

All safety switches can be connected in different ways. Combining the devices with a Euchner IO-Link Gateway gives them the added benefit of communicating in Industry 4.0 applications.

CKS2 key system with FlexFunction

The CKS2 from Euchner is a new safety key system that easily integrates into the overall control system and is suitable for a multitude of applications. Choose whether to use the device as a lockout system, authorization system or key transfer system by selecting relevant keys and programming the control system accordingly. The system is also called "FlexFunction".

Highly encrypted, transponder-based keys ensure the highest possible level of security. The device can be connected to IO-Link using Euchner Gateways. CKS2 is also available as a sub-module for MGB2 Modular, opening up a wealth of new applications for this popular door-locking system.

MGB2 Modular

MGB2 Modular secures safety doors and fences on machines and installations during dangerous machine movements. A modular design is the secret behind the system's adaptability to specific requirements.

MGB2 Modular consists of a locking module, plug-in submodules with control and indication functions, and an MBM bus module for connection to PROFINET/ProfiSAFE - now also for EtherCAT/FSoE and EtherCAT P/FSoE.

Two sub-modules allow up to six different buttons and indicators to be integrated into the locking module. All information from the connected modules is collected in the MBM bus module and transferred to the installation's control system. Comprehensive diagnostic and communication functions in the form of EtherCAT or PROFINET messages and the integrated web server provide a quick and detailed overview of the device status.

ATEX transponder coded safety switch

In potentially explosive environments, the ATEX directive and the corresponding standards place special requirements on the equipment used, from which an ignition hazard may arise. Transponder coded safety switches are ATEX devices according to category 3D/3G and can be used in danger zones 2 and 22 (gases or dust).

For explosion protection, safety switches are available as safety devices without protective interlock or with monitored protective interlock.

The transponder-coded actuators have unique coding. The actuators must be learned by the integrated evaluation electronics for safety switches in unicode version. It is only possible to switch the safety outputs with the already learned actuator. As such, the unicode principle provides a high level of protection against manipulation.
