In a market characterized by change and exciting new opportunities, the procurement function is having an ever-greater impact on our ability to deliver goods and services in the right quantity, quality, and on time. At the same time, this must be achieved in an increasingly competitive market in Denmark and internationally, where our purchase prices and supplier agreements have a significant and direct impact on Duelco’s financial results. 

That is why we are looking for a strong candidate with solid experience as a Purchasing Manager who is able and willing to work independently and lead the purchasing function. Your team will consist of yourself and a Technical Buyer.

You will play a key role on Duelco’s leadership team.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with the management team to develop and implement Duelco’s procurement strategy
• Develop and challenge existing suppliers, including optimizing delivery flows, supply reliability, and prices
• Continuously identify new potential suppliers in order to consistently have alternative solutions and maintain competitive prices 
• Management responsibility for the Procurement Team, including task allocation, prioritization, professional development, and follow-up on goals
• Ongoing consultation with the sales departments regarding sales forecasts and future needs
• Handling of significant delivery discrepancies, complaints, backorders, and other supplier issues
• In collaboration with the team, maintain relevant master data, including updated price and cost lists for use by the rest of the organization

Requirements for You

• You must be passionate about both procurement and leadership, and have an infectious drive to achieve both the team’s and your own goals
• Ideally, you have experience as a purchasing manager. Industry knowledge and technical understanding are a plus, but not required
• You are organized and focused in your approach to tasks and are able to juggle many things at once—but you don’t lose your footing if plans suddenly change
• You must take a proactive approach to your work and constantly strive to stay one step ahead when it comes to incoming sales orders and tasks
• You're good at building relationships and know how to interact effectively at all levels using straightforward and clear language
• You must have a good understanding of IT and be fluent in both written and spoken Danish and English
• You are a team player, but you can also work independently
